I will save my reflection for later in the week....at this point, I am merely documenting that the week 1 video assignment has been posted on Teacher Tube and within my wiki. The actual file is in the wiki in addition to an embedded link.
I found a new blog import tool within my wikispaces wiki. I am testing to see if that means a post here also updates dynamically within the wiki.
So.... I am posting to see what happens, I will update later in the week. This has been a fun week!

EDLD 5363:ET 8028 Multimedia and Video Technology
Tonight was the first meeting of our Multimedia and Video Technology online course. It is the beginning of the sixth course of those I will take as I work towards my Mastering Educational Technology Leadership Masters degree. The meeting began promptly at 6:00pm and true to her word, Dr. Abernathy only allowed the first 30 people to show up to login. We must remember to be prompt- this is akin to being locked out of a final for being late! Dr. Abernathy did a quick run through of the syllabus and her expectations of our performance. She gave her email address and her cell phone number so that we can contact her at any time with any questions we may have. She has revised the course assignments and freshened the course material. Her goal is to increase quality while decreasing quantity! Yeah! There are still a lot of articles to read this week and each week, but I feel better about the first photo story assignment after her monologue. It is the first time I have used Google Docs since April. It has changed a little and added features. It was easy for Shanna to submit suggestions on my script and for me to respond. I am waiting to see her script. In the meantime, I completed a rough draft video in three formats, .wmv, .qt, and .swf. The quicktime movie is the smallest, but even it is 5.6 mbps.
I am going to try posting each to drop box to see how sharing the file itself goes, again this early in the week, it is a draft, pending comments, I expect it might change again. I got it down to 2:03 minutes, I don’t know that I dare edit it much either way.
It was a good conference, I am expecting to have fun, but I am a little nervous at having to cooperate online to get the projects required in the course finished.
Time for bed…. I gg.

The web conference was cancelled at the last minute due to circumstances beyond Dr. Cunningham's control. Thank goodness it was a web conference and no one had physically travelled to a meeting. Technology is wonderful!
Dr. Cunningham explained the situation and reminded us to check the class updates window for information regarding the submission of our internship application.
This allowed extra time to work on the discussion posts.
